Boyd (Nigel Whitmey) was one of the 101st Airborne Division paratroopers encountered by Captain Miller and his squad during their search for Private James Ryan in the French town of Neuville. Boyd might be the same character Sergeant Hill later refers to as "Jimmy T" just after Private Caparzo is killed. Both carry SCR-300 radios and are played by an actor who at least seems to be similar. It would seem unlikely that Hill would have two radio operators available to him in his small unit. There is no actor listed for "Jimmy T" in the credits. |
